So uh...

Sun Apr 13, 2008, 9:10 PM
It's been like two years since I've really uploaded anything. That's a bit pathetic. I've uploaded some stuff. Pictures I took this summer, mostly. You should look at them. I think they're good.
I'm sure there will be more as I go through and edit things I took.
I no longer have PhotoShop, which makes me a sad panda, but thus is life.

Other than that, life is good. I'm still in school, still doing homework, and still doing theatre stuff. In fact, I just helped build two topiaries (well, four...kind of)...Yeah. Good times.

Oh yeah...it's snowed here within the last two days. Yes. We got a blizzard...in fuggin' April. It kind of makes me want to hurt things. Hopefully spring will actually come soon...not just fake soon. Stupid U.P.

Yep. That's about it.
I lead an exciting life.

Lots of new uploads...
Even a new journal entry! I haven't made one of these since 2005!
Anyway, we went and took pictures of the old orphanage in Marquette. It's called the Holy Family Orphan's Home. The orphanage was opened in 1915 and was closed in 1965. There are many rumors of children being beaten and killed at the orphanage. It is even said that the building is haunted, with the surrounding residents claiming to see and hear weird things coming from the building. One striking story of the orphanage is that one winter, a child was playing outside in a blizzard/snowstorm, and caught pneumonia, which lead to her death. When she died, her body was displayed on a table for all the orphans to see as a lesson of why not to play outside.
I really wanted to go inside, but all of the doors were tightly bolted...someday I'm going to find a way in. Hopefully before they tear the building down or turn it into "affordable" housing.
I love it. I love the beauty of it...even in its decay. It's a shame that this part of Marquette's history has been allowed to decay so far.

So. Today was a boring day. I have had no drive to do any "art" (do you call my work art? heh.) lately. Maybe tomorrow I'll have some good pictures. I'm going to Indiana to a zoo type thing. Should be fun.
Movies to see: "Ed Wood" and "Benny and Joon" Both are execellent execellent movies. So good. And Johnny Depp is an added bonus. :D Ed wood is hilarous cuz he dresses like a girl. Good funny stuff. *sigh*
Well. Ok then.
So. I chopped all my hair off...or atleast a good deal of it. It was short, and now it's shorter. I like it. *shrugs*
Hm. Well, the only real reason I'm posting is because I'm sick of looking at that last journal entry.
I leave for school in about 2 weeks. Haven't talked to my roommate yet...Should do that.
Now that I've sufficently bored you all, I shall leave you with this:

"My body is a journal in a way. It's like what sailors used to do, where every tattoo meant something, a specific time in your life when you make a mark on yourself, whether you do it yourself with a knife or with a professional tattoo artist."
~Johnny Depp

(PS: yes, I'm in a weird mood, hence the quote...heh.)

Opinons please!!!

So, I'm thinking about entering my deviation "sunset on the lake" into a contest for PhotoGraphic magazine...anyone think it'll get anywhere? The subject for this contest is sunsets...any comments? suggestions?
